I graduated from Kent State University (KSU) with a Bachelor's degree in photojournalism. In May 2013, I will receive my Master's degree in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel from KSU. Through my various interests, I hope to find a way to combine my love of communication with my desire to assist students in having a meaninful educational experience.
I have been recognized for my photography in a variety of settings such as being featured in photo exhibitions and being published in a book. I also won an award from The Cincinnati Enquirer's Capture Cincinnati Contest for the Arts, Culture & Food Editor’s Choice Photograph. My love of photography, public relations, and communication has aided me in my development in higher education. Combined with academic advising and the desire to help students find their paths, I hope to develop methods to engage students in their educational experience.
As a leader in many student organizations through undergrad, I gained interest and experience in marketing and planning events, public speaking and maintaining records, as well as telling stories through images.
